What it is

In this project, I was tasked with overseeing the successful integration of the following services into Business Central:

  • Mobile Banking (Sky World Limited)
  • Internet Banking (Sky World Limited)
  • ATM (Cooperative Bank of Kenya)
  • Bulk SMS (Sky World Limited)
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Sky World Limited)
  • Credit Reference Bureau (Metropol)
  • IPRS (Integrated Population Registration System)
  • Newgen OmniDocs EDMS (Electronic Document Management System)

Mobile Banking - Sky World Limited

SOAP API integrations through Business Central to achieve the following functionalities:

  • Account & Loan Statement Enquiry - Extraction of transactional data from GL entries and formatting into presentable PDF document for end users.
  • Account Cashout - Debit of funds from transactional account(s), credit of transaction charges to revenue account(s) and autoposting/reconciliation of GL entries after successful transaction confirmation.
  • Account Deposit - Credit of funds into transactional account and autoposting/reconciliation of GL entries.
  • Mobile Loans Auto Disbursement - Automatic appraisal of configured loans based on eligibility criteria and disbursement of loan amount to the customer.

Internet Banking - Sky World Limited

SOAP API integrations through Business Central to achieve the following functionalities:

  • Account & Loan Statement Enquiry - Extraction of transactional data from GL entries and formatting into presentable PDF document for end users.
  • Account Cashout - Debit of funds from transactional account(s), credit of transaction charges to revenue account(s) and autoposting/reconciliation of GL entries after successful transaction confirmation.
  • Account Deposit - Credit of funds into transactional account and autoposting/reconciliation of GL entries.
  • Mobile Loans Auto Disbursement - Automatic appraisal of configured loans based on eligibility criteria and disbursement of loan amount to the customer.
  • Online Member Onboarding Process - Secure integration of the online member application form plus registration fee payment

SOAP API integrations through Business Central to achieve the following functionalities:

  • Account Balance & Statement Enquiry - Extraction of transactional data from GL entries and formatting into ATM readable format for end users.
  • Account Cashout - Debit of funds from transactional account(s), credit of transaction charges to revenue account(s) and autoposting/reconciliation of GL entries after successful transaction confirmation.
  • Account Deposit - Credit of funds into transactional account and autoposting/reconciliation of GL entries.

Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) - Metropol

Integration with CRB Metropol REST API to:

  • Import Credit Score Report - Embedding of credit score report from CRB Metropol into Business Central for direct viewing by loan credit officers during loan appraisal process.
  • Submit Daily and Monthly Payment Information - Development of Business Central Job Queues to automate the submission of daily and monthly loan payment and defaulter information to CRB Metropol.

Bulk SMS - Sky World Limited

Implementation of Business Central integration to SMS gateway to send SMS notifications of different categories such as:

  • Transactional Alerts - Alerts for transactional events such as account cashout, deposit, loan disbursement.
  • Core Banking Alerts - Alerts for core banking tasks such as workflow approval.

IPRS (Integrated Population Registration System) - Sky World Limited

Implementation of Business Central integration to IPRS gateway for verification of KYC documents during SACCO member onboarding process.

Newgen OmniDocs EDMS - Omnidocs

I implemented both SOAP and REST API integrations to the Newgen OmniDocs EDMS platform to achieve the following functionalities:

  • Document Lookup - Implemented APIs to retrieve application metadata from Business Central for linking and archiving in the EDMS platform.
  • Document Retrieval - Integration of EDMS document retrieval APIs into Business Central for easy viewing and downloading of PDF, TIF and Image files.
  • Document Submission - Integration of Business Central document uploads into the EDMS platform for easy uploading of documents to the EDMS platform.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM - Sky World Limited

I implemented OData REST API integrations to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform to achieve the following functionalities:

  • Customer Onboarding - Integration of Business Central customer onboarding forms into Microsoft Dynamics CRM for easy customer onboarding.
  • Customer Account Management - Implementation of account statement APIs to retrieve account statement data from Business Central for easy viewing in CRM.
  • Loan Applications - Integration of Business Central loan application forms into Microsoft Dynamics CRM for initial origination of loan applications.
